Dear Sir/Madam, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek confirmation, for certainty, regarding visa requirements for a technical stop in Djibouti during my upcoming travel. I have already contacted the Djiboutian authorities/embassy and was advised that a transit visa is generally not required for a purely technical stop, provided the passenger does not leave the aircraft or airport transit area. However, I was also advised to verify this with a Djiboutian embassy or consulate for additional assurance. I am a Somali national holding a Dutch passport. Travel details: • Airline: Qatar Airways • Flight number: QR1459 • Route: Doha – Mogadishu • Date: 11 August 2026 • Technical stop: Djibouti (approximately 1 hour) • Arrival: 12:30 • Departure: 13:30 • I will not leave the aircraft or the airport transit area.
